Chronology of cameras Novac
Traduction de Manuel M
It is a small folding camera with plates 6.5 x 9 cm of range entry, but of honest manufacture. The body is out of wood sheathed of coated cloth and the flap is metal. There is a clear viewfinder reversible which is folded up when the camera is closed.
The marked shutter “Novac” is obviously Gitzo of the beginnings.
The lens “Paris Anastigmat Novac 1:6,3 F=105 22674”, could be a “Itier”.
The focusing is done by a serrated roller with pinion and toothed rack, graduated until 1 m on a graduated scale, but much more with direct control on glass ground.
Although for the moment we did not find mention of this camera only in the catalogues Photo-Plait, nothing on the camera evokes any connection with this distributor.
Bears the n° 3759 embossed on the leather of the sole.
